Some run-down areas and lots of homeless people on the way in to the city centre.
Pedalling south out of Salt Lake City: straight onto amazing bike trails !! Jordan River Trail - Murdock Canal Trail - all the way to our destination!
Mayor of Utah is a big supporter of cycling
On to Scipio: big mountain views all day, tarmac to start (good shoulder) but then onto gravel service roads ... tough day ! Edgy moment when big cows and young came over to see why Molly was squatting by the bike ....
Tough 39-miler to friendly Kanosh: steep gravel to start, pedal or PUSH for grumpy Molly ^photo. Saw a big rattlesnake crossing the track ! And more non-fenced cattle. ?Locusts hopping on the ground. Then quiet tarmac, but monster headwind made it a grim struggle !
